I know it's nothing to do with the TRNC, but a woman in Coventry was caught on camera, stroking a cat on a wall, then she picked it up by the scruff of it's neck and put it in the bin. This person has now been offered Police protection, she has been threatened by many people who wish to do to her what she did to the cat. Lucky for the cat the bin was not emptied on that day, it's owners found it 15 hours later in the bin,I am not a cat lover, but I cannot stand any thing like this.

Just rang that number, Funnily enough its engaged, left her a thankyou message . Cats are one of the cruelist animals on this earth . Everyone of them that are allowed to be on the streets unsupervised should be disposed of . Maybe this woman is a bird lover. I lived in ozz for a spell and any cat which was found out at night un supervised was taken away and exterminated. Can anyone explain why cat owners do not supervise these vile creatures. Louloui

| Message 18 - well, aren't you a bloody prince eh? Cats are not cruel - they act on instinct. I have had cats for many years and I certainly would not have classified them as 'cruel'. My son lives in Australia and I will certainly ask him about cats wandering around at night - I must be honest and say I didn't realise that they were exterminated if they wandered around at night - I thought that was what cats did? | I don't know about culling cats in Cyprus but certainly in the 60/70's they had a policy of dog shoots. It would be on BFBS 'Today the Limassol police will be carrying out a dog shoot in whatever area' Dog owners should keep thier dogs inside. Now its indiscriminate spreading of poison. |

Not sure about the wheelie bin tactic ... I prefer an airgun, certainly makes think twice before @@@@ing in my garden again.... unless they are house cats I cant understand the fascination, they roam around with no loyalty from garden to garden. Imagine if the neighbours dogs freely roamed around your gaden messing as they pleased, disturbing the birds & pond fish , there would be uproar.... although reading all the lost dogs posts its seems that's exactly what happens in NC. Cat owners are too lazy to own dogs. Just my opinion of course.

The cctv camera was the private one put up by the owner of the house because he had been having problems with his car being damaged by vandals. It was trained on the area just outside his house and the bin was there I suppose awaiting collection. Very sad situation that the trusting cat went up to her and then she put it in the bin after gaining it's trust. Even if you are not an animal lover there is no need to be cruel to them. Horrid person that she is.

In this mad world if the matter ever comes to a trial it could result in legal aid monies being expended to consider mitigating circumstances such as "what colour was the Bin, when was the last and next collection dates, was the cat a pedigree or not, did it have a collar, if fitted with a microchip did it interfere with any council digital snooping devices fitted within the bin, did it urinate in fear whilst within the bin, has the defendant been traumatised, short of suffering physical violence, by abuse from the public at large and the media," etc etc, followed by adjournment to await expert testimony from the RSPCA and psychiatric reports. The mind boggles. Put her in a bin and make sure it reaches the tip !

Hi Jeanie well, aren't you a bloody prince eh? never been called a prince before Thanks for that. Cats are not cruel - they act on instinct. So How do I keep the neighbors cats away from my wild birds that I feed? They are catching them, tearing them apart and leaving them lay about….this must stop….but how? I spoke to the neighbors and they don’t care, they say it is what cats do…..As much as I want to kill them, I can’t….as that would be wrong in my opinion….so what can I do to make them not come back? What bl--dy planet are you from.? Louloui.

My cat is "the dogs b......s". Has more qualifications than Hans ie 17 CSEs (Cat Sat Exams), uses a catamaran in the swimming pool, plays Cat Stevens music, takes his holidays in Katmandu, shags Pussy Galore, beat Dick Whittington in the London Marathon, the list goes on. He is so intelligent that he buries his do do in the garden.

Bill - I just knew you had a evil streak - as my old Mum would say "his eyes are too close together" And, anyway, they're not starving in Korea - I've seen 'em on the telly and they look OK to me. I mean, they don't look thin, or anything PS I should quantify this very feble attempt at 'humour' by mentioning that someone I used to work with, when looking at TV footage of people in dire straights, e.g. some African nations, always said "well, they're always cheerful, aren't they". Mind you, she wasn't the sharpest knife in the box Sorry - as one esteemed ex-poster on here used to say "I'll get me coat". J

Measey, there is more than one W to be wary of around bins in Woolpit, Suffolk. Witches, Werewolves (known by the locals as Wherewolves as they can't catch them), the Woolpit Whiff, Woolpit Warts etc and the nearby cavalier pilots of Wattisham RAF helicopters who terrorise the locals by taking the tiles off roofs as they fly low level sorties in vain bids to eradicate the numerous spooky goings on. There is a special ward in Bury St Edmunds Hospital for those who have been afflicted by the Warts. Many of the locals are interbred and tend to mutate. Their only comment is "the answer must lie in the soil". I should keep carrying the garlic clove and stake if I was you, also keep looking in the mirror for large warts. Best stay away from Suffolk altogether but Norfolk is worse. Keep W (Wary) and do not put cats in bins it attracts the media like flies !

Is it just me or does this woman look directly at the camera before committing the act? If so it seems it was her intention to be filmed doing it. Why? God alone knows, I don't think she does. Her mother's comments only lead one to believe she doesn't really know her daughter that well. Either way, throw the book at her... I've got a nice heavy one that would fit the bill.

James I could insult you and make you look silly, but to be honest my friend, I just can't be that cruel to someone who is clearly "not well".

Hiltop, the only person you will make to look silly is yourself, you hide behind a false name and picture, which may suit your character, but if anyone is not well it's you. James
