We live in the North, but a family member who will soon be attending a business conference in the South, would like to visit us. Will he have any problems at the border coming from the South, ie Is he able to bring a South Cyprus hire car to the North, and what documentation will he need? Many thanks for anyone who can advise.

I've done extensive research into this one and find the safest and trouble free solution is to hire transport from the south to the north and hire your car in the north, you could find it will save you lot of heartache in the unfortunate event you broke down or god forbid were involved in an accident, i can give you details if you would like, of the companies i use, this is only my opinion . Hi

I had crossed the North South cyprus last year and there was no stirct vigilance at that time. I don't think it would give you a problem to cross.
