John. No disrespect but I think you should seek medical advice rather than ask for help on here.

Does it hurt? Does it itch? Are your hands in water more than normal? Are blisters soft or wart like? Has your diet changed? Or are you handling plants you don't normally handle?

There could be many reasons why this is happening, and many doctors will automatically prescribe Cortisone treatments which are actually not that good for your skin....perhaps contact a dermatologist?

Our skin is the first thing that touches solid objects and air...some skins are more sensitive to things than others, so your condition, could be attributed to many MANY things...therefore a recommended dermatologist would be the way to go.

Are you on holiday? do you need a recommended dermatologist?...or....Have you just got home and noticed this? (if this is the case, you doctor should be able to tell you where to go)

Please be aware of the contra-indications of cortisone creams...google them if you are not sure.

I do hope this has been helpful.

GBJohn, have you had your diabetes checked with a diabetic nurse recently. This can cause all sorts of problems with skin, feet, eyes etc. Get that checked too. If it's diabetic related, your diet could be a big factor.

do all that's said but take aloe vera also, it works for all ailments. Perhaps your medication needs changing for being here, mine did. Vit D the sun can thin the blood, so what you take may not work so well. Get a check up, are you stressed, that can bring all sorts on. I swear by aloe it works for me, but we are all different. please love get a check xx

I have to agree with message 2, not many people on here are skin specialists, you should see a doctor. If that sounded rude I didn't mean it to be, but we all get carried away and want to give advice, and for health problems you should get a professional, not listen to all of us (except of course Chris).

Hi John,

We have had a few people on the forum this summer with the same complaint / or similar and I really haven't a clue as to why this is. Because you are also diabetic it would be sensible to see a Dr. and get a proper diagnosis.

Message 6 has the name of a dermatologist on her post.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help but if you need further advise call TRNC Healthcare on 0533 884 5621
