| As I understand it, (cop out!) in Cyprus, a Forestry Ton is the amount of wood that will fit in a cube which measures 1.1 M on each side - that is, approximately 1 and a third cubic metres However! - an old 1 tonne water tank is often used for the purpose - giving a measure that is about 25% less... Depending on the type of wood (Pine is quite light, while Orange and other woods are comparatively heavy) you could get as little as 60Kg in your 'tonne' You might as well ask "how long is a piece of string?" |

| Hence the cord which I believe is 4ft x 4ft x 8ft. I think in the US they make pickups to size for the purpose. |

| Agree, sometimes a 'ton is not a ton', but I believe we did get near enough if not more than 3 ton when delivered. We still have half a ton left from last year. Locals quoted us 300tl/ton last winter! |
