Try AGROTECH in Girne (on the main dualcarriageway from Girne to Lefkosia about 500 metres from the Girne/Lapta/Lefkosia roundabout) You'll have to drive past and then double back to park outside. The owner speaks good English is helpful, and has all the bits needed so he must have contacts for a number of installers.

I did my own installation so with a bit of practical skill and time it's an easy and cheap job to DIY if you have an outside water supply. Apart from a battery timer (Hozelock - say UK price £25 - B&Q or eBay) the rest of the stuff you'll need is relatively cheap.

measure your garden, then visit a garden centre who will advise how to do it. It is easy, and a lot cheaper doing it yourself! The most expensive part will be the timer, but you could install one yourself without the timer and just switch it on when you want. Then get someone to get you a timer from uk they are at least 1/3 of the prices over here.

Are you allowed an irrigation system from the mains water?

Im on tankered water and just get the driver to hose down the garden everytime I need the pool and house water topping up.

Save your money and do it that way.

If you have a pool then it should be topped up by tanker anyway.

I hate to say this (and I can only speak as I find) but be careful with Agro tech, they installed our irrigation system with an Italian motor to run it and when the actual motor flooded they came and looked at it, then got some one else to come and look at it then decided there was nothing they could do as the warranties do not mean anything here that the italian manufacturer give and it was only 5 months old. It cost us £500 and the refused to help us.

You need to choose some where that will give you a good back up service and since then we have used Unsal, who I got referred to from members on this forum and he has turned out to be so reliable for us and our friends. His number is: 0533 860 8751
