Some flights start now and others next year with hopes of other destinations being added.

I used Jet2 2 years ago from LBA.

All was OK from boarding the plane, but the organisation at LBA was chaotic, about 10 flights checking in together. We stood in the check-in queue for nearly 3 hours.

As with most budget airlines, the headline price bears no resemblance to the final figure after you include all the add-ons.

I had a few hours to spare one day so compared the budget airlines with scheduled, and in most cases scheduled came out cheaper, and of course on scheduled you get the service, drinks and meals thrown in with the fare.

I agree with Dusterbruce ...

Seeing as I've got family living in Leeds, I was interested in this - So, I went through the booking procedure, to find out the real price after all the extras were added on ... I tried a few combinations of dates in September and October for Larnaca to Leeds and back ... and the cheapest was £316 and some were more than £400 !

Leeds-Bradford can be a reasonable alternative to Manchester for those living in the north of England, those able to travel on a Wednesday and those who can avoid school holiday times. For exampl,e anyone looking to come out on the 27th October will be quoted £9.99 (£31.99 with taxes). However, they would have to make other arrangemnets to get back as Jet2 stops flying on October 27th until April 2011.

Jet2 are starting Manchester - Larnaca (Sat flight) and Paphos(Wed & Sun) next summer, Larnaca from May 14th and Paphos from the start of April...

Prices similar to Monarch into Larnaca out of Manchester, but at slightly better flight times, ie 0050 arrival iso 0250, plus they have a great loyalty scheme: myJet2, which gives you a point for every £1 you spend, so a family of 4 could get 1 free (return) seat to the likes of Budapest, Dubrovnik or Barcelona from the UK, if their LCA flights total cost was £1200.

Some friends of ours from up north have been using the Jets 2 affiliate link from flightholiday for about 3 years. One is East Midlands - Bodrum the other Manchester - Larnaca. No comments on service but they do it again so must be OK.

Jet 2 have been in operation for some while now and have a splendid reputation.During the recent volcano business they chartered 100 coaches to go to Madrid to bring their passengers back home.I did not see any other company doing that..My daughter is flying to Crete with them in fortnight and her flight ticket price include 23kg luggage,in flight meal. They will certainly make the others take notice ifthey keep up their performance.

Make sure her hand baggage is smaller than the dimensions they put on their website then Coachie,I defy anyone who can get a small suitcase that has the same dimensions as they state to fit inside one of the 'guide boxes' at Leeds Bradford, therefore making you book it into the hold at 50 quid a pop.
