| hi dash70,doe,s your bath mixer tap have chrome swan neck unions on or is it just a flat deck mixer.if you have the swan neck mixer you will find chrome nuts that connect to the bath shower head of the unit,if so very easy to replace turn off hot and cold water at the valves, check that you have turned off the water by turning on the bath mixer taps,i.e no water runs out of tap or stops running. obtain new mixer taps or obtain these first. disconnect old mixer tap at the two chrome nuts on swan necks.align new b/s mixer and re connect to the old chrome nuts, but dont forget to fit the fibre washers, when you tighten up the chrome nuts, wrap tape or rag over the nuts to stop marking the chrome nuts.job done.if you need to replace a flat deck mixer you will need to remove the bath panel to gain access to the back nuts on the mixer taps which hold the tap to the bath rim, in that case you will have to replace the whole unit.if in dought get a plumber in good luck |
