Just returned from a 4 week holiday in Kyrenia. Phew was it hot for the first 2 weeks, and the humidity made it almost unbearable, but we managed, with plenty of Efes. Thought I would recommend some of our favourite places to eat. Tree of Idleness, brilliant as usual. Kyrenia Tavern, as good as always. Sele, Ali still makes everyone welcome. Le Bistro, small but lovely. We went to Mersin Tantuni (think thats what its called) after seeing recommendations on here, it was excellent and very cheap. Six Brothers, just off the harbour, was really good and if your lucky you will be offered free wine, we got 3 bottles over 2 visits. Once again we had a brilliant holiday and can't wait to visit again.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your holiday. I have been to the Six Brothers quite a few times on my visits to N.C. and have always enjoyed the food there. You can also be lucky enough to get a free bottle of wine which always helps. My oldest son really likes the tomato soup and apple pie and always insists we go there for that alone !

we too have just returned from a fantastic time in Kyrenia, we stayed at Bellapaise Monastery Village and couldnt fault it....We had two excellent meals at the Six brothers, one on board their sunset boat trip and the other in their restaurent. Our all time favourite meal though (and we went back three times to eat it!!) was the meat mousakka at Chiminia (not sure how to spell it - but right next door to the castle in the harbour!!!
