I think you will find that they are classed as commercial vehicles, the road tax is I think very high. Also you will almost certainly find that it is not cost effective to import one into the TRNC as the duty is high

Hi lovingcyprus, yes was thinking that, if this is to be then will have to go for some other 4x4, but just want something that will last and will not break when it goes off road like a lot of 4x4, thanks. David

Hi David Your in luck, selling a 2006 Nissan Navara Outlaw, Metalic Black, D40 2.5 turbo diesel 18000 miles roller lock over load bay, all taxes paid £23000. If you bring one in from the Uk it would cost you about £ 20000 in import duty and registration under recently revised laws, Contact by email if you require further details. D.N

don't do it. double cabs are classed here as commercial. tax for our ford ranger was 12k. road tax has just doubled and is based on weight so the tax for the ranger next year will be stupid.

Hi firestarter, just looking for a 4x4 that will not break on rough ground, and you can fit people into it, just think some of these 4x4's are for show and cannot handle the off road/rough ground, thanks. David

David123, just for information the Nissan Navarro last September had a recall, due to the seatbelts and airbags found to be faulty. If and only if, you were intending for commercial use you have to prove you are a tax payer and if not for commercial, use get an agent to do all the work for you in importing a car especially if you intend to be a "retiree" in NC. Always best, in my opinion, to do your own homework.

You also need to consider the age restrictions on importing a car ino TRNC. Don't just assume any car is ok http://www.algysautos.com
