Car hire from Larnaca

We are coming out to North Cyprus on the 3th November till 5th December and will be flying into and out of Larnaca. We are looking to hire a car from Larnaca --can anyone tell us the cost of insurance we will incur at the border and as we are going over 30 days do we have to pay again.Can we then travel between north and south at our will. Car insurance at the border is 25 Euros for the month. As you will be here for more than a month you will have to purchase two months insurance.

This is third party insurance. It is advised that you inform the company you hire the car from that you will be using it in the North.

Once you have the insurance you can travel between North and South.

I've always used Fontana when I've hired cars in the South - see banner at the top. But in June I had emailed ahead and booked, same as usual, and they were a no-show. I emailed, telephoned all their numbers and sent texts from the airport, but no reply to anything. One of the aiport workers suggested try the Thames desk. Negotiated a good price, Vehicle was good, and I would use again. http://www.thames.com.cy/
