We just booked a car with Bellapais for October and they were very accommodating and will pick up from Larnaca to Esentepe - £35 airport transfer. Good rates too for car hire.

Hi,

Like Stevie-D, i always use Bird-Rent a Car they provide a fantastic reliable service, are always on time for Airport transfers to and from Larnaca, and drop hire car at my villa in Esentepe, i book for friends who also use my place, giving flight details and party name, never let me down, they always acknowlege confirmation promptly via e-mail, contact either Dilber or Mustafa.

Hi , has anyone tried Avis car hire. I was staying in Pafos and tried to hire a car to take into the TRNC. It was a nightmare at first. The dirty looks and questions i was getting just for mentioning north cyprus to the car hire companys. i was running out of patience and finally decided to try Avis to which i very much doubted they would do a hire to the north. Yipeeeee they said they did hire to the north but did not advertise it because of what the locals would think. they have only been doing it for a month but at least its a big company which gives u peace of mind. And they do the insurance so u dont have to buy at the crossing.

ps they wernt cheap . but piece of mind



Alot of the carhire companys told me that even if i hired their car and bought insurance at the border i still wont be insured in THEIR car.

You wont get fully comprehensive insurance if you hire a car in the south and drive north. If you stay in the south you are fine but as soon as you cross the border it switches to third party and if you break down you are in even more trouble!
