Went to tax my car today. I was expecting a fine because it was more than a month overdue. I went up to the counter and smiled and said hello to the lady (just being my normal friendly self). She had a quick look at the documents and asked for 212tl - no fine, not even a telling off. She just back dated it to when it ran out. Was even cheaper than last years tax disc.



Just shows you the benefit of being polite and smiling.

Hate to burst your bubble but this is the normal practice. However it never ever hurts to be polite and friendly.
