So many times this has happened but owners of these dogs dont seem to learn

anything. Another little girl has been severly injured by 2 rotwielers while cycling

to her gran's. 33 year old woman charged with not keeping proper control.

Where did this happen, the owners of the dog are to blame, that does not help the child lets hope she will be alright. The mental scars willl last a life time.

What amazes me is the dogs here are so badly treated and yet I have never met an aggressive one yet, you would think with the way they are treated here they would be killers!!

Hi Lilli It was in Dundee, and on national news. Sorry, can't get link, but grandmother managed to

rescue her before any more injury, as she was thrown off her bike on way to see her. Jaw broken and

scars for life, physical and emotional. No, 33 year old woman not her mother. Don't know why she

didn't have them muzzled and on lead. I would like to know how the girl is but no news so far.

well really I used to wonder in around 2002-2005 why it did not happen in TRNC given the amount of 'packs' that used to run around Alsancak- particulary as I was building my house and the kids were young. Not for only one time was I stranded on the roof terrace inspecting the building progress only to be surrounded by a pack- really quite frightening.

Since then I have not seen any real packs around my property but sometimes I am visited by weird looking strays- one with 3 legs and another missing an ear and most of his coat ! - A local told me that some of his friends had gone out in the past and carried out what sounded like a 'cull' of packs.

They should blanket ban all these vicious breeds once and for all.

I remember they "culled" a lot of dogs on the university campus in 2000.

Most of them left behind by students from Turkey. They weren't doing any

harm though as far as I could see. I hate to see harm come to any creature

but unfortunately, like people, they can go bad, some breeds more than others.

i have a staffi who is the most gentle soul, he is surrounded by love and boy does he give it back. Not to say in a dangerous situation he would know where he is from, i hope and i pray it will never ever happen. i guess thasts why in uk they are domestic and never encounter danger if you are responsible with them. I have my baby here now brought him from uk, he can only go out if he is on the lead with one of us. i feel for him as he had so much freedom , now the heat and the curfew but he accepts it because he lives for us x
