Sorry its sport (well sort of) but i spoke to some people today who thought that a sending off was a little harsh. Now i know Rugby is a physical game. But i think you have to draw the line somewhere. And in my opinion this was just thuggish behaviour,

Paul.

Paul. Thuggish behaviour from them both and should have been equal punishment either yellow or red. Bailey is well know for thuggery but gets away with it.

Did you see the Saints game? what a thriller at the end, the atmosphere was magic, went home hoarse. I first went to Knowsley road 60 years ago and that will be my last visit there. Past players had a game with the Academy side before the big game, brought back a lot of memories, shed a few tears when leaving had a walk around the "boy's pen" where I first watched from at 4d.

I personally dont think Radford hit him hard enough. But do think that he deserved to walk.Bailey is an animal on the pitch and gets away with murder,

Paul.

Radford could get 1 match ban RFL charging him with a least offence.

It was provoked, but still blatant. Yes send-off, other guy should go too.

However, some level of physical violence is part of the game - it makes sure there is never a problem in the stands - well you'd look daft having a fight in the stands with all that aggro on the field to watch instead.

I have studied this incident many times now,and i honestly believe that Bailey was just trying to gain his feet.Radford never had a mark on him,

Paul.

Paul, Bailey should have gone - as Radford's foul was judged sufficient - The Ref / linesmen clearly missed the elbows..

Realistically, sin-binning both would have been fairer ..

now this is worth a sending off, i had the pleasure of Kevin Tamati coaching me when at chorley, he always mentioned this fight was the day he got one over his old adversary!!

I wonder how many players will be throwing punches at the week-end and getting away with it,

The rfl decision was that Bailey unintentionally hit Radford with his elbow!

Radford has appealed and RFL have lifted the ban accepting only one of the punches thrown made contact and Radford had been provoked by Bailey. It was Radford's first red card in 15 seasons.
