I have just put topic about protecting against address book infestation and had to continue onto a second page but when I looked the two were far apart. Well, several other topics were interposed.

How does one ensure that the topics continue one after the other?

Hi Enrico,

Type your posting in Word or Notepad or, similar. Cut and paste it into the text box here and you will see how many characters are used. Edit the text that you have pasted until the number of characters is below the amount allowed. Separate the total text into blocks of 1,000 and then, post them one after the other, but not too quickly.

Impossible. Someone else may post a second after you pressed the send button. Best thing to do: prepare your post in a text editor. Next use your New post (about 950 characters is safe). Press send and immediately copy the rest of the text from your text editor into the Reply window. Etc.

I open 2 or 3 Tabs in my browser then write the text. Once i have used all the characters in tab 1 I go on to tab 2,3, etc.

Then when I have finished I send them one after the other, but do give a few seconds between sending each tab.

Works for me.

But why can we not have more space for posts? Is it a tech thing or just 44 AGAIN? Like not being able to edit

Hi Enrico

I also think you have not understood that you have to post the 2nd or 3rd parts of your posting, i.e the continued part, in the reply section of your initial post, so that all parts are included in the same topic.

You are not suppose to start a new topic to continue........

RE msg 5, Tootie: the limit of (circa!) 1000 characters has been imposed by board owner Izzet Zorlu. Edit facility: sorry to say it, but the whole set-up of C44 is obsolete. There are far better Bulletin Boards (free or very cheap) available. It would be nice if Izzet once in a while would join this community with an explanation or his view on remarks by members. But he's not the best communicator in Northern Cyprus, I'm afraid.
