Help !! can anyone cut foam for me please?

Hi Folks, I need some help here !!! I bought some heavy duty foam to make cushions for my metal patio chairs, but the foam is to thick and I need it thinned down by about 3cm . I got it in Nicosia and they cut the sizes that I needed and gave me the left over from the large sheet, it was expensive ,so I don't want to waste it.!!! I tried yesterday with a little bit of the left over stuff using an electric carving knife, but that didn't work.

the blade won't be any use as they are 17in X 17ins and 17ins X 24ins .thanks for that though.
