| I was going away for 2 months so took out a husband and wife annual insurance with Halifax Due to a family illness we had to return early and re book loosing our non transferable flights A flight into Stanstead a hire car and fuel were the additional costs over £400 in total I mitigated the losses by claiming the flight tax back of £100 on the return flights not taken But I needed a note from the sick relatives doctor stating that they were well and the illness was not pre-existing The doctors fee was £25 for the note not reclaimable from Halifax though they demanded before processing the claim they then take £100(£50 each ) as excess Remember Halifax That little bit extra |
