| According to Cyprus Today, Marion Stokes the co-founder of HBPG is refusing to help anybody in the future unless they follow a plan put together by the Construction Contractor’s Union. The plan appears to be simple; you keep paying the stage payments when the builder goes bankrupt. In the case of sites all the purchasers, including those who have serious doubts about handing over money to a builder in financial difficulties, put all the remaining money together and release it as each stage is completed. The article repeatedly talks about everyone working together and criticises those who refuse to put more money into a failed venture. She admits that buyers will then have to pay more than they had contracted to pay and there is no assurance of title deeds being issued at the end. I'm having a problem with believing this story. Anybody have better information? |
