| We have friends coming to Fig Tree Bay next week that want to visit us in the North.
Any recommendations how and where to cross the green line? We have a rented a car
so we can pick them up on this side. |

| Sorry I have no idea but it might help if you could say where Fig Tree Bay is near, someone may be able to help then. perhaps your friends could get to Ledra St crossing..good luck.

As long as they are willing to pay for the insurance at the border (any crossing) they can bring a south side hire car across and see the delights of Kibris!

| We have friends who stay at Fig Tree Bay each year, they have taken the bus into Lefkosia and walked across the locmaki crossing into Ledra Street. I believe the bus terminus on the south is very close to the border crossing. I am not certain of the bus times but believe there is one at approx 10.00 am from Fig tree Bay area and a return at about 1.00pm. Hope this helps? It is not a regular service so your friends must make certain of the departure and return times.

| They can drive to Ayios Nicolaous, where the Army camp is and can walk across to meet you. From Protaras make for Dherynia and then Freneros and turn right to Vrysoulles. When you get into Vrysoulles, turn right and go up through the army camp to the border. Only take them 20 minutes by car max.
It is the nearest crossing to Famagusta(Gazimagusa) |
