We are interested in a ferry from TRNC to anywhere, but all the reports we read on here say the boats are disgusting etc. Are there any ferries that are clean and nice to sail on? Geoff Famagusta City

The "High Speed" ferry that goes from Kyrenia to Alanya is not too bad - about a 3 to 4 hour crossing and the seats are reasonably comfortable. A type of toasty sandwich is available as well (sometimes) and you can wander out the back amongst all the luggage and watch the sea go past. Dolphin spotting seems to be the only other thing the ferry is good for but all in all not a bad service. To see Cyprus rise up from the sea on the return trip is a sight you must not miss!

The ferry to Tasucu is bloody awful, and unless you are planing on driving up the coast or Syria there is not a lot to see.
