yes, it's an a Saturday till about 1pm.

From Girne, take a right at the roundabout as you enter the town. The market is a few hundred yards further up on your right, before you get to the T junction with St Mama's monastery ahead of you.

The right turn at the roundabout could be closed off if the market is busy. In that case, keep straight on, and gradually bear right heading for St Mama's and the town Mosque.

Is the market worth a visit?

In general terms, what is on sale?

It is better to get there in the morning not at 1pm as the fish stalls will hae sold up and gone by then and the veg will be past it best.

The right turn at the roundabout is ALWAYS closed off, turn right on to the waste land ust before the roundabout and drive along there behind some buildings for a couple of hundred yards and park there.

Jim, it is well worth a visit, very genuine and local, hardly a tourist or Brit in sight, in general terms market produce is on sale, veg, fruit etc, all very fresh and mostly localy grown. There is also a bit of a clothes type market too, but the fruit and veg is the best part.

Guzelyurt market has many of the same stall holders a Girne but cheaper prices.
