| Hye Everyone Fancy yourself as a Train Driver (or even a Fat Controller !!!) or just want something different to do this Saturday? Open to the public for the 1st time is a G Scale model garden and railway. It is believed to be the only one of its kind here in TRNC. The event is being held by Mrs Ann Bosley as a tribute to her husband (who died before the layout was ready to be seen by the public ) and the date (Aug 16th) is the Anniversary of his Birthday. It is set in Ann's garden with drinks and snacks available in the shaded seating areas. There are many engines and carriages as well as the village layout. There will be the opportunity for people (incl children) to take control of the trains for 5ytl per 15mins. Also available on the day are Scuba Try Dives (please bring your own costume and towels) within the safe confines of a pool and with a fully qualified BSAC Instructor. The event will run from 2.30 until 7.30pm with an entrance fee of 5 YTL. It will be held at Duman Sokak Zeytinlik. Sign posted from GAU road/The Ship Hotel or Astro Supermarket. Please phone 0533 8760715 for further info. Ann has kindly promised to donate all proceeds to KAR. Please go along and enjoy the incredible work her husband had acheived prior to his death. The final pieces of the railway were completed by his family following his death as it meant so much to them all. |
