| Does any one have any information regarding flights to Manchester ex Ercan in the last two weeks of November or possibly when winter schedules/timetables come into play |

| Barry - they are available daily (some days more than once with very long plane changes).
There might be more coming out but no further information yet.

| Avoid the temptation of using Larnaca airport in south Cyprus - too much hassle at the border, at the airport, and costly transfers (about £50 each way). I am sure Turkish airlines will have a flite to suit you out of Ercan.

Geoff, I've used Larnaca the last 3 trips and not experienced any hassle at either the airport or the border. As for the cost it's far easier for me to absorb the cost of transfer as this is offset against the costs I previously incurred when travelling from Newcastle to Manchester and having to park the car for 7/14 days. not to mention the saving on flight costs from Newcastle. |

| We only use Larnaca as a last resort, but only because I prefer to support the North. However, after the summer problems with Cyprus Turkish Airlines, we have just flown south this time. No problem at the border, no problem at Larnaca (infact airport has been done up!) and the transfers are only £40 to Bogaz, north of Famagusta. However, if you use sun rent a cars then you can just get the taxi to Nicossia for £25-£30 then go the rest of the way by hire car, no matter what the time of day.
I would still prefer to fly via the north but as Tom says, it is possible but with a stop over and usually a long wait. Unless you combine it with a trip to Turkey! |

| Tony Msg 8 - there is one scheduled but that might only be on the agents site as the connection with Ercan may not be practical for the average client. I try to check things before I type them. |

Understand your point ref supporting the North but in your post you inferred that the poster would be hassled at Larnaca airport and hassled at the 'border' - simply not true.
As for me, I always fly from the South. The reason.......I like to know that i have a better than evens chance of departing on time or at all for that matter.
