Harold quite rightly closed this thread as a duplicate but didn't provide a link to the original... http://www.cyprus44.com/forums/45880.asp It would be really helpful if you could provide links to the open thread to save searching for it as the title is often very different.

David I think you are trying to stir up trouble. This board does not need 5+ threads of mmmmmm and Washerman having a spat. If they want to discuss the technicalities of their respective businesses then It should be done on one thread and if they cannot conduct their discussions in an intelligent manner then it should be taken off board. I would suggest you refrain from trying to wind people up and use this board for the original purpose it was set up for. AJ

AJ, as this board was setup to help folks in 'TRNC' - I'll 'risk' your 'wrath' by asking why you are 'Trappist' re Dopi ?...... You have been asked by several posters if YOU are experiencing problems - and you were always so quick to defend 'em before... Do you remember I asked you if by preventing me from posting my warnings if you would pay the folks when they couldn't get what they paid for ? I reckon I WAS doing the very thing this board was setup for and YOU stopped it.... Is this board setup for the benefit of those in biz or the members ? Seriously, you appear to be back in power mad admin mode and you can't / won't see how ironic your post sounds.. Now you know I'd rather BE posting - but *I'm* not afraid to question your 'even-handedness' ... this is NOT the AJ I once knew ... :( Folks.. it's been nice knowing you..

AJ Dave I think you are wrong. im not trying to stir up trouble. if you police the site the way you say and read all i have wrote,as maybe im on a suspicion list of yours, then you would of seen that i agreed with your actions of closing some threads because of the bickering,so i opened a thread for just mark and paul. http://www.cyprus44.com/forums/45894.asp This thread was opened about a hour before your post accusing me of insighting trouble. I feel it very sad when i hear 2 grown men saying they must refrain from posting on the same threads as they fear your threat of a banning,as ive said, the forum belongs to the users, you are not judge and exercusioner, there was no bad lanuage used,it was informative,it was humorous sometimes, but it was on your a Dopi thread. I agree in some aspects of what you say,but i feel trying to instil your thoughts into grown adults in over stepping YOUR mark, your here to offer guidelines for us to stick too,not your rule.

David Let us have a bit of perspective here. Read what I posted about 5+ threads of the same two people having a spat. I have no problem with one thread and the two protagonists being able to discuss the technicalities of their respective businesses in an intelligent way. Secondly it is no ones board apart from Izzet's, It is not yours, it is not mine and no one poster on this board is greater than the owner of the board. Izzet sets the rules and the standards to which he expects everyone to adhere to. Read the mission statement on the login page and if you have a problem with it then it is quite simple, find another board to post on. Enjoy your evening AJ

Interesting reply. I guess that will be the beer kicking in. One small piece of advice, If you want to drink then do not make an idiot of yourself on Cyprus44 as it does not do you any favours. Next time you can buy me a few beers and we will both keep away from Cyprus44.

AJ In life we must grow old,its part of life. in life i have a choice if to grow up or not. i choose the latter. peter pan comes to mind. When i said invite me to your home,it was meant in a nice way,no other way. If i see you tomorrow at the very good concert for a very good cause, you might find me in good spirits, and get a pint i find most of my posts quite humerous and some entertaining. Its a shame we both dont share the same sense of humour 12 little bottles of gold fassl has not wet my neck yet

AJ Well none of my emails get answered or actioned (umpteen member photo requests have been sent) and I don't really see why this simple request should not be made via the forum. Why do you think it is necessary for this subject to be handled in a clandestine manner when you are prepared to admonish posters on-forum?

Grouch Who said anything about e-mailing Izzet? I was suggesting that you e-mail the Forum Admin that you have a problem with directly. And there is a simple reason for my suggestion: Forum Admin's do not and cannot read every thread and every posting but are more likely to respond to e-mails. AJ

firstly, I don't have a problem with Harold It was a general requests for all Mods.... His was just an example.. If you re-read my original post I make it quite clear Harold was right to close it... but as the original thread left open was completely unhelpfully headed "Sorry DC - nothing to do with the TRNC" it was the devil's own job finding it... Can you please discuss it with the Mods when next you have a con-flab... it's not rocket science. In fact I think Ismet has made a similar request to members all I'm asking is when a duplicate is closed by the mods... please provide a link to the thread left open. As I would like all mods to adhere to this request emailing one mod might not achieve this oh so secret task....

RE msg 24, AJ: (...) Forum Admin's do not and cannot read every thread and every posting but are more likely to respond to e-mails. (...) => More likely to respond to e-mails?! AJ, you didn't even reply to a thread with your name in the subject title (and you were on line when this thread was brought back to the top) - nor was there any reaction to emails, text messages and phone calls.

He was, but I'm referring to the singer "Stonewall Jackson" whose most famous hit was "Waterloo"... Unforgettable lines in this song are: "Waterloo, Waterloo, where will you, find your Waterloo..?" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waterloo_(Stonewall_Jackson_song) But - let's get back on topic, shall we?

Yes please, You know I thought it a simple enough request and that more Mods would read it (given the tell-tale title of the thread) than sending one pesky email... "Forum Admin's do not and cannot read every thread" Really? I understand they choose not to but they could.

They ALWAYS read mine! This is because I am paranoid and genuinely believe I am on a list of problem posters. If I wrote the word shit without any asterixes, one of them would spot it and ban me immediately. See you all in October. \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Note by Forum Admin. This member has been added to a list of "serious problem posters" with a requirement that every post is read by a FA. Texas, you know you cannot write the word sh*t. It's spelt shite, "ffs"!

It would have been adult courtesy and common sense (something not so common anywhere these days) to give the link to the similar thread, when immediately closing mine as clearly the initial thread is known, for my thread to have been closed straight away. One doubts the similar thread had exactly the same heading, and having looked, I can't find it either........... Oh well, back to the naughty step for me..............

Groucho, every journalist knows that composing an attention grabbing headline is the most difficult part of making news papers (or, as it is: threads on bulletin boards). The proof of my remark is on this board.

I take you all have an email hotline? If not one needs to be set up... one you all can pass messages and all have the password and user name.... |

Apologies for my less than obvious heading, but I was trying to follow forum rules and include the words North Cyprus in it. I do feel guilty if I post on subjects not directly related to North Cyprus as in the past, posters have just got so much stick. It is a case of 'you can't please all of the people, all of the time'. ..... and I must add that I might be a saddo, but I do try to read every thread. (Also, Groucho, if you did have difficulty finding the original post again, you could have clicked o DC's profile, as he had plenty to say on the topic. I just found it to be a slightly amusing news item, but it did not stimulate me sufficiently to get involved in a debate about the monarchy, Dutch or otherwise).
