If you already have a prescription Akay Optics in Girne is where I always get mine from. They provide an excellent service, prices far better than here in the UK.

Some time ago I broke mine, and sent them back for repair...there was no charge. Definitely recommended.

Eye-test = 70-80 TL. There are indications (on this board) that the Eye Clinic in Girne would be best to avoid (which I do also after annoying visits to this ophthalmologist).



Good ophthalmologist (70 TL last time I went there).

One other question....is slowly deteriorating eye sight usually an age thing, or usually some sort of disease? I have had 20 20 vision my whole life, and am only recently starting to struggle with reading...

Get a blood test it can be one of the first signs of diabetes
