There are 4 lively kittens living in a hedge at the side of a busy road in Lapta. Their mum, who is only a youngster herself is doing her best to stop them from straying but they are very curious. They all have big blue eyes! Not sure how old they are but probably between 4 to 6 weeks as they are not yet weaned. There are 2 grey and white with lovely markings, one totally black one and a tiny one who is black and tan and has a permanently worried look on his face! They need a chance so if anyone wants to give one or more of them a little love, they would make great pets as they seem to like human contact - a lot. I will add some pictures that I took yesterday so that you can see for yourselves what characters they are.

Many thanks to you all for your responses. I will do my best to crack this problem as the pics are worth a look - I know I am biased.......

Dear Stephen,

I have sent some pictures of these beauties to info@surecyprus.com as suggested and hope to get them on the forum soon.

In the meantime, the kittens are still all alive and continue to play in the hedge. Mum is doing a great job but we have noticed that she is leaving them for longer periods everyday, which is a worry. They all seem very healthy and I am hoping that they stay lucky!

My phone number is 0533 8700797 if you would like more information

Regards

Ah they're beautiful, I would find them hard to resist if I lived in N Cyprus permanently. Might be worth having a word with KAR and getting mum neutered in due course or you could have another set of kittens again soon. Good luck in finding them good homes.

Would love to take them in but unfortunately we have a zoo already (2 dogs and 26 cats, 9 of whom our dog Lucky allows inside and the rest that live in our garden). We intended to have NO pets when we came to live here 7 years ago but was persuaded by Alison to take a kitten which turned out to be 2 kittens as we couldn't turn one away (Bella and Luna, now 6 years old) and it went on from there.

Hope homes are found soon. We already have 2 cats, but will ask around and see if anyone can offer homes!

Thank you Turnergirl. If you can spread the word there may be someone who would enjoy these cuties.

Dear Stephen,

I have brought them out of harm's way as you suggested and they are now living under a gas tank in our front garden in Lapta. We cannot allow them any nearer as a large dog and many other cats are taking an interest and mum is defending them against anything that moves!

We will take responsibility for mum with all that is required in the neutering stakes but we cannot take on the kittens.

If you could encourage others to at least look at the photo link then there might be some hope for them.

Many thanks once again,

Blooboy
