As long as you are not in a hurry to get things done, have enough money, a good sence of humour & plenty of patience it is a wonderful place to live!

TRNC is a quiet place. Local cypriots are very friendly and family oriented. Zero crime, very safe place.

Come on a holiday, but think twice or thrice or million times (Plus check billion times about the builder or estate agent) before purchasing property. And unless you earn or afford minimum £3000, don't bother settling here...hope that helped, cheers

Welcome Murray. In my view it can be an experience of extremes, either very good or very bad. However, the former outweighs the latter.

How you spend your time here will have a significant impact on how much you enjoy it. You could come and spend all your time in British pubs watching football and help create 'little Britain'. If that is your want, then you can stay at home, go to your local and buy a sun lamp! Alternatively you can experience cypriot life and culture and broaden your horizons.

Accepting that there are problems wherever you are and focussing on the positives helps to alleviate the anguish that sometimes arises from the negatives of being here.

I am sure there are people who will disagree with me but I can only view this from my perspective so my comments are all in my opinio, of course!
