Johhny Lee you did a super job comparing the show tonight,it was very good indeed. I saw 1 fault, the show started 30 mins late, you anounced over the mic that 3 coaches turned up and you was waiting for them to unload, whos idea was it to wait for the coaches to unload before the show started? The pricks on the coach started all the trouble at the stage. With the coaches and other small delays,it put the show back 1 hour,so the later acts ended up playing to a smaller crowd. The job you did is a difficult job,and you made it a super night for us all JL,i think some time could of been trimmed off some of the acts to bring the show back on schedule, with that, every 1 would of played to a full Ampithearte. Now ive finished my winge, i must say it was a super dooper show, and we need many more like it. Great stuff JL and others involved and of course all of the performers. Ive some nice memories to add to youtube, they will be posted over the next 24hours.

we have had a wonderful night. our friends and i agreed that we would have not have wanted to be anywhere else but the ampitheatre tonight, and we mean NOWHERE! if you were't there tonight, you missed out. we can't imagine how much time and effort was put into organising this event, but from the bottom of our hearts, thank you to all those involved for a totally memorable evening. please, next year?

Thank You Zerochlor for your kind comments, I had never done anything this big before, I was asked by the organisers to hold back for a few minutes to let the late coaches clear the door. Events like this do tend to run over, I did try to trim the acts, but that was out of my control. I think it was an very good night, I had some good positive comments off many many people, I just simply did the job to the best of my ability. I hope you all had a wonderful night, I enjoyed it. My only comment about the acts would be, let them do sets of 30 mins. at different intervals, somtimes I think as good as they are if its to long for one act it can become al ittle boring. Thank You to all of the Artists tonight, you were all very very good. But this is a learning curve for the organisers, and we can all learn from any mistakes , and improve on it for the future.

Super job mate, the students who came on the coaches where either drunk or over excited, what was happening round the stage with them was crazy really, great that they where all shown the door and the police put them all back on the coaches. I dont think you made any mistakes JL,it was a brilliant night. The coaches from the uni where the mistake! Ive got about 40 videos uploading, so im outta here,as it slows it down.

I agree it was a great night only slightly spoiled for us by the morons that caused the trouble. They were in front of us and it appeared that one guy was winding them up, but a few were very very drunk which did not help. Lee you did a great job and all the performers were excellent but Snakes once again stole the show. In my opinion. Chris p.s. I thought the turnout was a bit disappointing especially after all the publicity the event had.

An absolutely fantastic night! What a setting! It is the first time I have been in the amphitheatre and was blown away by the view behind, over the Mediterranaean. I thought all the acts were superb, but must admit to being amazed by Insanity. The energy of the group was boundless and the songs just went on and on. Pure, unbridled talent ..... and the lead singer was only 16, brought up for the last few years in the ROC and on a complete high when we spoke to her later about the venue and the reception that her group had received. I agree with msg 9, I really do think this is a group to look out for in the future. We managed to last the course and this old 60 year old was still rocking until Funky Monkey finished at just gone 2 am. To Lee and all the other organisers..... a very big thank you .... and I for one cannot wait for the next event.

Terrific night starting with Morgan, what a talent, the Outlaws - a great very young talented group - were the best I have seen them yet, Cherry B I have never seen and thought the voice out of such a tiny thing was amazing, Insanity were mind blowing as were Neil Ozturk (?) and the Secret, the ampitheatre added to the brilliance of Barry's guitar playing and what can one say about Funky Monkey? All in all a wonderful night thanks so much to the organisers for making it such a great event. MORE! (Don't think I have left anyone out - apologies if I have!)

Top Top night ,well done to all the acts. I would like to say how proffesional Cherry B was when being confronted by those morons, not only being surrounded by them on stage but then having her microphone taken from her. This lady has never sang in front of so many people before, fantastic!well done Cherry. Brilliant to see Funky Monkey again, shame you only played to an half emptied venue, not your fault though and you got everyone off thier seats as usual.Good to chat again Jonnie.Well done Jerry a good intro for the band, mate. Insanity!Christ, brilliant or what? Was talking to Jonnie Hawkins before they come on and he told me they are special, well good call lad.Bet your glad you signed them up,you certainly know the music business.Would love to hear some of their own stuff. Barry Snakes, loud and proud as usual,i dont know who told you to play 4 Pink Floyd numbers but they were wrong! You done them great but you do so much more, would have been nice to hear more. Great night!!

Washerman, whatever do you mean? You have had the negatives as well as the positives..... late starting, late finishing so not everyone stayed to the end, potential trouble from some university students..... however, that did nor distract from the quality of the night. How independent do you want people to be? .... or do you think we all have vested interests in praising the event so highly?

To all involved with last night ! a great big thank you for making the whole event a fantastic success ! I was completely bowled over with the quality of the acts, from the superb Outlaws to the Monkey , sound and light man Halit (what a rig !!) and the way in which Lee Hickens (aka Johnny Lee) and Ciler Niyazi Bali kept the show "flowing" was just brilliant ! and to "you lot" the audience thanks for making it all possible ! kind regards Barry

a cracking nite all round ,, I.m not usually a fan of punk rock but Insanity were amazing. just one thought for the future, the security guys need to be near the stage at all times to stop anything before it gets going . but a briilant gig anyways.. well done to all involved

I must say it was a thoroughly enjoyable gig last night. Having spent a lifetime in design and presentation we know that one individual should not be picked out for special thanks. However, I make an exception - Richard and Di whose brainchild the concept was deserve special thanks and to all the technicians, roadies that the audience never see I thought last night's performance was absolutely professional. The hard work in any production is starting with a blank sheet of paper and I think Richard filled it admirably. Constructive comments are always welcome Richard and I hope you go from strength to strength.

A fantastic show at a fantastic venue.A big thank you to all the hard workers that contributed. Felt a bit guilty at seeing all the empties left behind-couldn't individuals have taken them and put them in bins as they departed!! Snakes,Insanity,Jonnie Hawkins-absolutely fantastic. The people that got up on stage very dis-respectful -Cherry B handled it very well. Look forward to next show. regards Sue.xx

I am absolutely chuffed to bits to see that this event went well. Very sad I wasn't there to enjoy but really pleased that - despite the little hiccups - it was a great success. Well done to the organisers, artists, and all those who supported. An extra "thank you" must go to Richard and Diane...you have both made a big difference to the lives of many, and that is something very special indeed.

Just been watching the videos. Would have really enjoyed watching Cherry B singing Waka Waka as we dance to that, but it was spoilt by the yobs getting onto the stage and taking her microphone away from her. She would have had no chance if they got nasty. it took long enough for someone to come and remove them all. Should have people around the stage to stop things like that from happening. If Cherry B see tis message can you phone me 0542 883 4422 I would like to see if you would sing at our charity do on Oct 20th in the Culture Theatre. Thanks.

Just 5 days back in TRNC and I was at this fabulous event. First time to the Amphitheatre and thought it was veeeeeerrrry impressive. All the acts I saw were excellent and fairly sang their hearts out. Well done to all the organisers for a truly magnificent event. A massive amount of work (and worry) goes in to organising something like this and I hope you all feel it has been worthwhile. Hope loads of money was raised for the charity.

To the organisers, the back stage crew, the entertainers. Thank you for a superb night at a very beautiful setting. Our party had a great time but sadly could not last the pace and decided to depart after watching a few Funkey Monkey numbers. Shame, but some of us had been up since 5am and just ran out of steam. No reflection on the entertainers at all, wish we could have seen it all. Perhaps when you organise the next one (which I hope you will) you will ensure all acts get a fair hearing before we "oldies" start to expire. Great evening though. Can't believe the Insanity singer is only 16. What energy she has, amazing. Also thought Cherry B was stunning and handled the difficult situation she found herself in extremely well. What a drummer young Oliver is too, incredible. All the artists were brilliant. JohnnyLee, great stuff, your enthusiasm came across well. Can't wait for the next one and will make sure a few more of our friends attend the next time as they missed a good eveni

I kept wondering what all this 'Snakes' fuss and stuff was all about. I must admit the idea of a rock guitar playing when I'm out dinning is not something I would aim for. However, having seen the YouTube downloads I can see the attraction. He sounded good. I will look out for his gigs on future visits to Cyprus.

Watched a few of the videos of Funkey Monkey and they did do a couple of the easier, old Pearl numbers, but wasn't the stadium empty - they should have gone on first. You would have thought that the audience would have hung on for the 'headline act.'

I know I am going to get slated for this but here goes .. washerman you are right the stadium was empty .. A lot departed before snakes had finished .. We stayed until Funky Monkey walked off stage . Didn't stay for their encore .. It was almost 02.00 If snakes had been on last sadly we would have gone .. Again too loud .. Drowned out his singing .. Pity the speakers were not turned round & snakes could have heard 1st hand .. Not disputing snakes talent .. He can certainly play ..

would of been nice to have started the concert maybe @ 2pm. All performers then would have had a good crowd to perform to.

Harita, I know that you are not prone to exaggeration and I believe what you say. This is what happens when you have amateurs promoting/managing - I hope that the accountancy is better!

I was visiting TRNC last week on hliday and came to the amphitheatre gig and had a fantastic night. Really well organised and great bands - I do agree that Funky Monkey came on too late and after 4 tracks we left. My only feedback that Snakes came on too late and would have been great playing as the sunset . It left us a little mellow after the amazing Insanity who would have been a great act to precede Funky Monkey. Thanks everyone who put this show on.... one of my holiday highlights!

Watch the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcne8ucsX6o with good mixing, all the differnet instruments compliment each other. Dan's guitar was absolutely correct level for the rest of equipment! Just right on the solos!

You can tell that Jonnie is proud of that number, by the way he says thank you at the end. Plus, this was a charity gig, if my memory serves me correctly, we raised 1880TL for the 112 charity just from the Courtyard restaurant gig. It's only a little place compared to Saturday's venue, but a good result all the same!
