The incredible BEX MARSHALL, will be appearing at Ledaz Bar in Lapta.



This will more than likley be the only chance to see her east of Girne on her short Tour of T.R.N.C.



Bex plays a mix of country/blues. I hope I have described her correctly. Check her out on Google, She is a big act.



It will be free entry, but we will expect donations please, and this one is in aid of Ismail and Chesire Homes.

Go and see Bex Marshall - she is the perfect follow-up to last Saturday's brilliant concert at the Amphitheatre. She is also talking to Maggie White on "Maggie Meets" on ADA FM 96.3 this coming Friday 01 September at 6pm

Bex did Glastonbury this year and has performed throughout the UK,USA and OZ.

Last year with her husband (Joan Armatrading's tour manager), Mike Viney on guitar,and TonyE on Roland Electronic Drums they made some great music as the "24 hour Band" doing Stevies, Paradise and Kings Bar.

Bex loves to put on a show, so during her "rest" here in Cyprus this year her husband,who plays a mean harp, their "bassman" and TonyE will join her as backing musicians for what promise to be a great couple of impromptu gigs; Stevies bar on the 8th Oct, and Leedaz on the 9th Oct.

No Cover Charge but Bex hearing of little Ismail's problems and the work being done to raise money is asking everyone who comes to the gigs to put at least 10tl (or more) in the bucket.

Bex is a pro performer playing numbers from her album live. - That is Live as in no pre-recorded backing tracks, so don't miss the original, raw, once off Bex!

I just hope she will play Duelling Banjo's. I love this , and the film that made it so famous.Deliverance of course.



I think this could be avery busy night. All in a good cause.



I was also given a superb, limited edition print, by some very good friends of ours, for Ismails Pia Bella concert, but it really was to valuable to raffle.



I may auction it on the night, but it will have to start at 250 lira. What are your thoughts on this.

I have spoken tonight to 2 people who saw Bex in the Uk and they reckon she is outstanding, so really looking forward to seeing her at Leadaz, She has a drummer, a bass guitarist and a HARPIST. this sounds good to me.

leapylee, it;s the old Stumble Bar, going out of Lapta towards Karsiyaka, you will pass Celebrity Hotel on your right, and then look for the sign for LeaDaz a little bit further on the left.

Bex and the boys dropped in to Hoots Bar on Tuesday for a Jam..this was Bex kicking back and relaxing amongst fellow musos, and it was fabulous to hear, raw, punchy and excitingly live. For the gigs at Stevie's (Fri) and Ledaz (Sat) she will be backed by her husband Barry on blues harp (not the floor standing type!), Danno on Bass, TonyE on percussion, and Colin guesting in also on bass. And yes, if all goes well we will have Duellin Banjo's, and some ultra new material from her as-yet-uncut-to-be-released new CD which I heard yesterday. Today they are recording a program for ADA Radio (with tracks from her CD) in which she and Barry talk about life on the road in UK/USA/OZ as performers, tour managers, roadies etc. The show is to help little Ismail with his damaged arm so please dig out the wallets when the bucket comes round. And remember, this performance is LIVE, no backing tapes or pre-recorded material.

Hi there,

Just to confirm that the Hoots House band are putting on a supporting act to Bex at Ledaz Saturday, their trio will play at 8pm to around 8.30. Bex will be on around 8.45, a mix of her own special style solo's and several numbers with the band, some from her alums, some standard blues favourites.
