Hye

Can anyone explain (in idiot language for me !) how i can transfer a film that i have downloaded onto my hardrive onto a dvd so that i can watch it on tv or portable dvd player ?

Do i need any special equipment/programmes etc and what type of disc do i need to buy ?

I am so pleased that after 4 years i can actually download onto the computer but now need to know the next part - maybe it will take me another 4 years ha ha !

Thanks

if you havent them you would have to download it ...know where your film is saved ,open up the softwear and drag it into the box ...then follow "burn " ,intsall disc and enter ...ish

Hi the2ofus,

May be a good idea to buy a Media player...

http://www.sum-vision.co.uk/productinfo/cyclonemicro/cyclonemicro.html

Then all you need to do is transfer your film, in .avi format, to a USB Memory stick.

No burning, then delete when you've watched it.

Here are some more links that may help you.

Lots of boys toys to look at .....

Bob and Kim

What format is the file in now? Look at the last part of file name, is it AVI, WMA etc?

Attached is an 'idiots guide' (no offence intended ) on how to burn a computer file to DVD.

Hope it helps.

By the way, I have a media player similar to the ones that Navek refers to in message 11 and cannot recommend them highly enough. It takes all the hassle out of having to burn to DVD which can take ages. Cost around the £70 mark but worth every penny.

Regards

Paul

Kevan, Paul

Part of their requirement is to play it on a portable DVD player which may not have the inputs for one of these box of tricks but if it does... it's a good idea and saves its own costs in no time....
