How about starting a film review thread as I often get a dvd from the shop, and only to find it is complete and utter rubbish. My latest flop was a dvd named Frozen, and basically it only had about 5 people that had lines to speak, and based around 3 people that get trapped on a ski lift.

Tarry I have a suggestion for you! Don't let a woman choose the films next time you go to the DVD shop! Anyway it beat watching horror on Top movies! (but only just!) Lol x

Unthinkable, an excellent film BUT perhaps cutting a prisoner's fingers off, cutting his wife's throat and threatening to torture his children isn't everyone's cup of tea and that's the problem with recommending films and why you should use imdb or http://www.rottentomatoes.com instead?

Perhaps each gives our top 10 must watch movies. Some of mine, in no particular order would be Groundhog Day, Casablanca, Life is Beautiful, The Miracle of Morgan's Creek, The Art of Lying, There’s Something about Mary, It’s a Wonderful Life, Maltese Falcon, Blade Runner and Meet Joe Black

Crazy on the outside... Tim Allen, family fodder... but good. Avatar - outstanding even in 2D! Karate Kid, Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith... no better than the original... why did they remake it?

Don't know about what everyone else thinks, but i think this thread was doing great as a review of latest movies. If you want to do a list 10 best films, perhaps a different thread would suffice? I'm not being pedantic, but i really am interested in reviews, not what everyones favourite films are. DD

I suppose we could copy/paste reviews from IMDB, Meet Joe Black - "For a long time I put off watching this, because I have no interest in superficial, teen comedy flicks, as implied by the film's pedestrian title and by the casting of a youthful Brad Pitt. But "Meet Joe Black" is anything but "superficial", and "teen comedy" does not describe this movie at all. Set in contemporary New York, the film follows a wealthy family whose patriarchal sixty-five year old head, played by Anthony Hopkins, is nearing the end of his life. Enter "Joe Black" (Brad Pitt), a handsome, but enigmatic, young man with an unusual agenda. This is a thought-provoking movie about mortality and emotional separation. It will appeal to viewers with a reflective and philosophical nature. But the film also has humor, which keeps it from being grim. The pace is slow. There's lots of silence and stillness, entirely appropriate, given the subject matter. "

Another one to miss is 'Afterlife' thought with Liam Neeson starring in it, it would be OK but what a load of crap! Agree with Basil though 'Mo' is a good film. I loved the way she called Tony Blair 'Babe' all the time on the phone. But sad at the end the way her health deteriorated.

I agree with authentichoccie 'After life' is the biggest load of garbage I have seen in a long time. Just taken 'Wrath of Cain' and 'Inhale' to watch so will let you know my opinion.

I liked the 'idea' of Afterlife...Liam Neeson convincing someone she was dead...i was almost fooled...however, a little predictable... One to miss...Salt...Angelina Jolie...what a load of rubbish! I agree with msg 26...not as good as the first, but worth watching. DD

Watched "Wrath of Cain" it was not a good choice, based in a prison in usa, typical prison film lots of violence and gangs running the place. Low budget film.

msg 39, I didn't want to give any of the plot away. To make it sound interesting would have meant giving most of the plot away.
