I have just about finished unpacking my boxes shipped from Scotland and must say I am happy with most of the sservice recieved. I used Jo Valentine and she was helpful all the way, we had some great chats as I called her for information. If I could not get replies to my emails I just kept emailing and phoning till I got a space in her busy schedule. Peterhead anf Fraserburgh removals packed for me in Aberdeenshire and did a great job. Container arrived in Famagusta earlier than thought. Luckily I have friends here who know their way about, one introduced me to the Muhtar, another took me to police station and I met another lovely couple at Customs (as well as someone who knows one of my best friends in Scotland). Armen shipping were the agents at this end and were very good with information and delivery. What a hard working group of men unloaded my stuff and took it to the right places in the house and garden. Just a pity customs could not arrange earlier and it was a 7.30 pm ...cont'd

Cont'd.... 7-30 pm delivery. Thankds to a neighbour for lights to help us see where everything was in the container! Numerous friends have helped with unpacking and only 5 breakages - pretty good going I think (maybe others would not agree but I can only speak for me) I have broken more in a 5 mile move! Boxes, paper etc are all being picked up too which is an added bonus.

Now I have the work of deciding what goes where, but I have two weeks to get the worst done before the first visitors arrive. Looking forward to life in TRNC, warts and all!

So thank you very much everyone who has helped the move to go so well. I know I am really lucky as some people have had horrendous experiences.

Welcome to the TRNC from a marooned Shetlander with family connections in Inverallochy, The Broch and my late sister lived in St Combs for many years.

Welcome Suzi and family and hope you have a lovely time in the TRNC.

If you need any Financial Advide regarding Insurance etc I can strongly reccomend FMA, also the Clan Kennedy are also the 'heid honcho's' regarding St Andrews and Burns Nights.

Greetings from a Carnoustie Loon!!
