Has anyone else being kept awake by this beach club? We live in Catalkoy and every weekend we are kept awake by loudness of the music, we live approximately 2km from them but even with all the windows and doors shut it penetrates. Can someone tell me why they need to play it so very loud. After many repeated requests to turn down the music they have just ignored not just us but many many other people who are unfortunate enough to live in the radius. If anyone is interested in getting up a petition to make them turn the music down please contact me. If necessary many of us will go to the Police to enforce the issue without any more hesitation. 4 paws

Also guilty of this is the Cornaro beach club. My friend lives directly above Shayna and he is always calling them to turn it down and most of the time they do but Cornaro dont and they go until 6 am sometimes. The Muhtar lives on the same road and he has called the police many times to no effect. I am afraid its only the money they are interested in not being good neighbours.

Why not look on the bright side, at least the music stops eventually when the holidaymakers go home, but the bleeding dogs near us just bark all night !! As others have said, we live on a holiday island so people come here to enjoy themselves, maybe if the music is too much either get some earplugs or better still get up and dance.

We unfortunately moved to our "dream home" - now this has become a nightmare.

Rowlo some of us would love to dance the night away but unfortunately some of us cant and a good nights sleep is sometimes the only relief we get from pain. We are not killjoys but would just prefer not to hear the music. Good luck to them if they make money in a short season but they should have at least some consideration for their near and not so near neighbours. 4 paws

4paws if i was to invest 800,000tl or more into a venue i would expect a few quid back through the summer season, come winter,i feel it be correct with a empty venue to not play such loud music to no audience, but if some people wish,,maybe some of the disco,s could start to play loud music 12 months of the year,as this is how long there licence lasts for!! like it or not,its a short season, you came to live in cyprus,,no matter how long ago, eventually it could become a holiday resort or was already a holiday resort. Lets stop the moaning shyte and let the busineseeses get on with there job,or let them stop for you,and lets start up a burgling epademic,as the bar earn nothing in the summer months,,but all you who moan, who live out in the wilds, lets start ragging your homes!! what do you all want? Thieves or businessmen, i can imagine some of the answers already! lets live and let live shall we? or become burglars ? As we are easy pickings ! yes you are!

All I can say is - that's nothing compared to the prayers blaring out of the minarets 4.30-5.00 am every morning reinforced by at least 10 loudspeakers strategically placed for maximum noise! I used to be a good Moslem but long gone the good old days of the lovely electronicall unaided voice of the imams, and out of the window my faith is going because of this persistent nerve wrecking noise every morning that is making me jump in my bed - it is just as bad if you plan an afternoon nap! BTW I live 200 -300 yards from this new double minaret mosque (that did not exist when I bought my place!) and so do at least another 1000 people! I wander what the hell they are thinking by calling people to prayer (namaz) so loudly, in this day and age, when any soul who has nothing else to do but get up to pray at that time of the morning can easily use an alarm clock (every mobile phone has one too!)...
