I was very pleased to see in today's "Cyprus Today" that the Kulaksiz 5 situation has been resolved by the TRNC Govt.

Let us hope they sort out the more widespread PTP problems.

After all, it is the best interests of the TRNC to do so as much money would be raised for the Govt coffers if we all got our Title Deeds. Not to mention it would give a massive boost in confidence to the property market here.

ang1706, nothing has been actually resolved but accoding to Cyprus Today the eviction writs have been cancelled and promises have been made by the Turkish Ambassador for the TRNC that “his country would ensure they (K5) were compensated for any loss…” Just like the good old days isn't it.

I think it means that the bank will be payed by Turkey and that the people living in the houses will be allowed to stay there till they die. No deeds and no selling on or leaving it in the will.

Just what I have heard folks so probably just another good tale but it did come from a TC at least.

Flak jacket on, helmet in place, awiting the first broadside but sorry - won't be biting back. No further information so not worth a guess from me.

Thanks for that Malsanjack,

Am I being too presumptious that this will happen to all the other paid up Homeowners that are in the same position - with a Bank Memorandum hanging over their heads?

Funny as you correctly say- good old days!! I still have a copy of a statement from the Turkish Government that said they would 100% guarantee property purchases- but in 2005 that was protection against a possible GC Claim.

Well done if this is the case.

there is a hint that other's would have to use the HBPG plan and pay to finish the properties, that would include paying off current memorandums and those that builders will be rushing to put on the properties on Monday morning
