If you're in Girne, Sele (opposite the mosque in the old Turkish quarter) is very good.

Patina very nice if you are looking for a more "restaurant" experience, or the Courtyard for a more 'pub" experience, that is if it is the East side you are looking for.

Guido's is the only place that cooks roast potatoes properly and makes his own yorkshire puds.

you seem to be misguided bernies, every time I have had a roast at Guidos the meat has been sliced about 1/2 inch thick.

my mum would actually prefer the meat cut very thin but we always seem to get big thick slices. Yes they are friends by the way.

"Mambos" in Alsancak, (on the main road before the " Ravine Bar "if heading towards Lapta) produces the best Sunday Roast in the area. At least 9/10 veg come with the meal. Veg. plated seperately, and a good helping of meat supplied also. 18 tl for one course but you won't finnish it all 'cos there's loads of it! Also in the Same place, two meals for the price of one !-Mon/Tue/Thur/Fri/Sat - 15 TL for a good selection.(10TL for an individual meal!!! exceptional value)
