guaranteed it will be the last time it is held there - course is disgusting for a major venue. Plenty good and tried courses around UK/Ireland/Europe - why use a swamp?

hope it gets cancelled now - all games halved / we win.

It's been a very exciting tournament. I think Celtic manor is a super course...the 18th hole is really testing! Shame about the weather but if the Yanks wanted it delaying so they could have their FedEx tournament..so be it!

Some players..Poulter, Donald and Westwood have been a joy to watch. Just hope the singles tomorrow go Europe's way.

scoty. before we came here i was a sales and marketing manager for a major hotel chain. The dates for this was decided many years ago. I went to many briefings about this tournament. When it was announced all the hotels in and around Cardiff, Bridgend < Newport Bristol were full for these dates. No one could predict this weather. I know the hotel so well and whilst Im not a golfer I have been there many times for varoius charity games. I know Terry Mathews very well and can only think how dissapointed he must be. He put wales on the golfing map with this venue. Tomorrow will tell but it is looking good for europe

I think its a first class course. Not one course would have stood the amount of rain that has fallen on there over the last few days.I play on a local course to me which drains extremeley well, but that was closed today.I would also want Europe to win fair and square and not by default,

Paul.

The reason for the bad weather is/was because they intoduced a competion in USA called the fed ex cup which meant the ryder cup had to be put back two weeks. I would imagine anywhere in uk would be wet at this time of year, not just celtic manor

Rowlo.. about the Monday weather..Well it's foggy 25 miles away from the course in sunny Gloucestershire...(7.40 local)

I just hope the Americans don't do their usual and surge back in the last round

The game of the lot ( for me ) will be Rory McIroy v Stewart Cink

My wee hometown and old school finally gets someone famous to 'shout' about ... GO RORY ! ;)

The Molinari bros look like a poor pick... Let's hope they get some glory back in the singles over Woods.. but I get the impression he's been put up against Tiger as a sacrificial lamb!

Neither of the captains know which games the opposite captain has nominated players for, so Molinari v Woods was not chosen, just the luck of the draw. Agree that they haven't done as well as expected, but tee to green they have been very good, just poor putting that has let them down. Hopefully, yesterdays half point will give them the confidence to do better today. Just about to head to the Paradise to watch the singles. Go Europe !!!!

"Graeme [McDowell] was put there [at the bottom of the order] for a very good reason," said victorious Europe captain Colin Montgomerie. "He is the US Open champion and full of confidence and that birdie on 16 was quite unbelievable."

"Montgomerie had loaded his line-up with strength at the top, but Lee Westwood, the team's talisman over the first three days, was unable to deliver the start the hosts had hoped for."

One of the best sporting occasions ever. Compared to the World Cup (football) it was way ahead! What's next...ah, yes...Rugby Union Autumn Internationals!!!
