He managed to sneak out for a couple of minutes and when he came back he had symptoms of poisoning.

Took him straight to pertev again who gave him the antidote AGAIN. Seems to be ok now, he must have only had a very little bit of it.

Sooner the bloody fences are up the better. Can anyone recommend a wrought iron fence maker? Thinking of getting them done ourselves instead of relying on the builder. (I tried the one in Karsiyaka behind the stone shop but he didn't speak any english)

DD, yeah I know, poor thing. I'm worried about what all these things (parvo, poisoned twice) are doing to his long term health.

oh, Mike - so sorry about poor Efes...

We just had railings done for EXACTLY the same reason... Really efficient, super quality and quick...Same recommendation as DD I think - Oktan... Arman Railings in Alsancak - Merit Road... Excellent price and workmanship. Highly recommend.

Get it done sooner rather than later - best money we spent this year...

DD and spanna, is that the little place right at the end of the Merit road next to the corner shop?

Was going to go in the other week.

Definatley recommend Oktan as Daisy does in msg2 very good and reasonable, speaks very good English, but dont hold him as he is presently doing a job for us, you can find him if you go done the Merit turning about 300 metres on the left.

I know it's not ideal Mike, but Perova have a selection of muzzles that you could use in the interim...Efes will hate it to start with, but if it keeps her safe, it's an option....

by the way, with all the trials and tribulations we keep having with Efes are making him a more and more loyal dog. It's as if he knows we've got his best interest at heart and are helping him as much as we can. I went to the loo before and closed the door and he started crying because he couldn't see me.

2 dogs have died over the weekend. Numerous dead hedgehogs along the lane. My mum has her suspicions because a young local, about 25, keeps walking up and down the land and has started laughing at us.

Going to go to the polis and belideye tomorrow.

Having recently lost a dog to poisoning in Lapta, albeit the other side of the village to you, I am deeply sorry to hear that this has happened to you again. If, having read your previous post, you live near Teos there is a great ferforge guy who we used for our railings who lives near you. Our builder did our original railings with very weak gauge metal and he has done better additions with decent stuff and gates, I highly recommend him and his number is 05338341914, he is TC but speaks excellent English. No harm in getting more than one quote!

Keep your dogs on a very short lead so that they can't sniff or touch anything .

If it's any consolation, one of our dogs was poisoned three times in a short space of time and survived, but a while ago now. She seems perfectly fine now. We keep them in the garden at all times when not walking them. We always keep a pot of salt, a plactic cup and a couple of bottles of water with us. If a dog shows signs of poisoning force it to drink very strongly salted water to make it sick. It will sick up whatever's in its stomach, including the poison, hopefully. Good luck with your dog.
