just my opinion , to many threads being closed down , because a mod dont like the replys ? might as well shut the forum down , its not about mods with big egos , its about the members , without the members ,you would have no mods , no forum , or will you be happier with the ten deciples ?

Only this morning from 5 19 am i received several e cards from simbas, washerman, mickeyfinn chris etc etc. I did not open as i have many in my adress book whom i have thier real names, to try give me a virus. necy time mate wear a mates x

Lilli all I can say is why would they want to kill you? nothing makes sense, please try to see that a lot of us are just naturally light hearted and it gets so blinking serious on here that it becomes silly.

I too have had viruses sent, by ex competitors, but thats just the way things are, try and see others point of view, its all very hard, but cannot for the life of me see why things cannot be talked over before they get out of hand, and that's coming from me who wishes that she had her time over again.....

Jesus Blackie neither did i until i read all my emails. This is so bad whilst i feel so very sorry for nige, this all started there. Whomever Krypton is and we will find out this has now become serious enough to go further and i will. I do not wish nige any bad and hope he gets well soon. Some time ago there was a post here that advised everyone to hide their email address that is stored in our profiles. Up until then mine was visible to everyone on this board, because I have nothing to hide. However, I took the advise and hid mine...with some of the comments I have heard recently I think I did the right thing. To Lilli and dizzycows I really feel for you - and am sorry what you have gone through. These spineless idiots only try to upset the vulnerable. Can you just not change your email address and then conceal it from these faceless cowards that hide behind fake identities?

Many jump to accuse the mods of spoiling what was once a decent forum by closing too many threads but unfortunately, I think that the problem lies fair and square on the shoulders of a certain number of posters.



Instead of a forum where advice can be sought freely or current affairs debated intelligently, what we have is a board that is littered with posts that either start as an attack on one or other individual or quickly degenerate into such.



As ever, the protaganists hide behind the anonymity of their keyboards 'bravely' spewing the sort of vitriol that they would never have the courage to utter were it done face to face. Swear words and insults are used because a lack of intelligence prevents them from expressing themselves more articulately.



The mods are not at fault here, some of the posters need to look closely at themselves and I hope that some are ashamed of what they see !!

I think the mods should have more power. Instead of closing a thread DELETE IT. This is a free forum and as such certain rules should be adhered too. Insulting, belittling and threatening people should not be a part of it. This forum could go back to being what it is good at, supplying useful information for people.



Mods bring out the big sticks and ban anyone that insults another person openly on this forum. No temporary bans permanent bans.



Also, there must be a better way of validating new user id's. I know IP addresses which are pretty unique could be used. They are available in email headers sent from users pc's.



Just my opinion, but this form is going to the dogs and that is a big shame.

As a complete outsider to whats been going on with you guys, but as it is an open forum, may I comment, firstly you have my sympathies as I have also been involved in a similar type of thing myself (fighting a battle on anothers behalf, which is well documented) however maybe you Lilli Should take a leaf out of my friends book and walk away from the forum, let them get on with it, dont even read it, there are many other enjoyments in life, it seems to me that, to very many people the 44 board is an addiction, if they dont have something of substance to post they will post the most trivial thing just to get on there, they dont see it as a problem and refuse to admit their addiction, some are classed as forum trolls, just turn your back walk away, if you dont know whats going on then it becomes irrelevant
