Is it a requirement of a moderator to either live or have a property..ie a holiday home in the TRNC and if not I wonder which of them has no interest here at all.

I assume that as long as the mods have a good knowledge about cyprus, there should be no problem as to where they live.

after all they should be the ones giving the correct advice etc. on here

Dee, I believe all the mods have connections with the TRNC. I know Harold had just returned to the UK as we were leaving for the TRNC, No 1 gets back to the UK today, so more of his jokes later on. Simbas is there now, whilst AJ and Elko reside full time. Are there any others?

msg 8 - if there are only those mentioned - i would suggest a few more be added. when people are on holiday etc. they often do not have access to internet and therefor are not available to moderate - leaves an awful lot of work for possibly 2 people to cover. especially once the sun goes down and the chaos on here starts again!

Paul, thanks for your answer all I would add is that when living in the TRNC I do not post on Nige's forum, I do not work illegally, I do not go around threatening to kill ppl ...infact I am a loyal and law abiding, tax paying citizen whilst I am in the TRNC.



I support Cyprus44 without reservation and my friends that post on it.



The only Mod I have a problem with is Harold who seems to have 'loyalties' in both camps.

Just because you choose not to post on the other forum does not mean that Harold should not be able to do so, it is a free world and as far as I am no 'state of war' between the 2 forums. Harold is one of, if not THE fairest of mods.



I know that you have a 'beef' with the owner of the other forum but please don't use this as an excuse to drag Harold into it.

I was intrigued to read the first posting, and my first reaction was what is the merit in this posting and what does it matter anyway.



Having read the rest of the posts I am even more convinced that the first posting was totally pointless.



To have moderators giving of their time is brilliant.



That they have to, at times like this, endure rubbish being thrown their way is something we all should deplore.

Even if banned, my understanding was that you can come onto the forum and read posts, but cannot post yourself.



Talk of 'loyalty' infers that this board is in 'conflict' with the other board. Maybe in your eyes but certainly not in the eyes of the majority of members.



I don't know what the problem is between yourself and Nige, it is none of my business and frankly I couldn't care one way or the other, but I really do think that it is time to sort this problem out in private rather than washing the dirty linen in public ???
