Always been 4 o'clock when we are there December/January. Soldiers parade through the town then go to the Ataturk statue near the Dome Hotel and lower the flags then raise new ones. Always an Army band in attendance worth seeing.

Every Friday when we have been there for 4 weeks Dec/Jan. Go and sit in the 6 brothers cafe across the road until it starts. I can't believe people who have lived there a number of years have never seen or heard of it.

The time differs according to the time of year. For your info Woodspeckie, the 6 Brothers cafe is no longer there as there is massive building work going on there at the moment. Only the fascia of the buildings remain (looks very dangerous to me!)
