hello folks, this is unfortunate another sad dog story. My friend has rescued a little bitch who was being beaten by children with sticks. At the time she was not willing to leave their area and it was subsequently discovered she had given birth to a litter of puppies (since taken care of by KA)

Since then, she has been spayed and her confidence restored. My friend has given her temporary shelter but cannot do this on a permanent basis as she is due to re-locate off the island and already has a dog.

The little bitch is no more than twelve months old, good with children (Can you believe that!) cats and other dogs. She is a border collie type, lovely temperament and used to living outside. there are no problems discovered at this time and she would make a lovely pet. She is friendly and obedient.

Please please search your hearts to see if you can give a loving home to this little dog. She has suffered so much in her young life,

rowan,

If I was in the TRNC I would not hesitate to help, but unfortunately I'm not, so all I can say if anyone who lives in the TRNC can help this little dog find a new home, please call, they may have a friend for life!

Good Luck!

I would love to help but I'm finding my puppy a handful by himself. He knocked my mum flat on her back this afternoon and wouldn't let her up.

Take her photograph to the KAR shop in Girne and it can be displayed in the window with the relevant details. Good luck with this little dog !

I wish you much luck with homing. We feel so lucky to have found good homes for Lucy's 12. Afraid we can't take on another one but there are some lovely people out there that I am sure will help. Try putting a notice in the vets, they usually seem quite helpful. I do think it is time that children are educated from an early age as to how to treat animals and I feel the best place should be schools, etc.

sorry to be a pain, but this thread is about a poor collie bitch, not a cat

Yes I know that, but if you read Lilli's msg she mentioned she had a kitten looking for a home so not that much 'off thread'. And don't lecture me when I have just rehomed the 12 pups that Lucy gave birth to after we gave her a home!

You could also try http://www.rescueuskyrenia.com Sam was very helpful when I was trying to rehome a kitten, she also kindly uploaded some photos for me.

It beggars belief at the way animals are treated here and in other Muslim countries even though Muhammed (Peace be upon him) taught Muslims to treat all creatures with respect
