Hi my friend has lent me his dongle to try as he has gone away for a week. Stupidly I thought it would just work by plugging in & installing drivers. However it needs configuring on my computer does anyone know if the configuration code is the same for all dongles (then please advise what it is) or is it dongle specific? I know his passcode so that is not a problem. Thanks for any advice.

Hi ok thanks for that yes I am Windows 7. It does not really seem worth getting it sorted though as by the time I get it done my friend will be back from holiday! I was interested to see how it performed before deciding whether to go wireless internet or dongle.

Hi Conni. I have a Turkcell dongle and bought a new netbook when in the UK which was on Windows 7. I went to Lemar as per usual to have my 30 days put on and found it was not compatible. I was sent down to the Turkcell Office near theLefkosa roundabout and they sorted me out in no time.

For windows 7 - plug in device, let it install, then open Device Manager and you'll see 3 Data Interface icons with a yellow ! sign, right click on them individually and choose to update driver, then choose Search Automatically - do this for all 3 data interfaces. Once this is done your computer would have installed the latest update for the dongle to work with windows 7. Later find the turkcell icon on your desktop and right click, choosing Troubleshoot Compatibility and follow the instructions. Done.
