There's not much to laugh about once you reach 52, as a new study finds this is the age we all start to lose our sense of humour.A poll of 2000 Brits found that adults have less to laugh about as they age. On average adults laugh out loud around four times a day, researchers said, but by the time we reach 50 this falls to just three times a day and a pathetic 2.5 times a day when 60. Dr Lesley Harbridge from the University of Glamorgan said: "The Lifetime of Laughter Scale shows that there really is a law of diminishing returns when it comes to laughter."We laugh twice as much in our teens as we do in our fifties. And our findings suggest that it's all downhill from 52."

Do you still laugh?

I wouldn't know being the tender young age of 38 ;-) To be honest though, the way some members treat this board I would probably agree. Too many Victor Meldrews on here

Bill,Rob....Ok lads I now have a tiny little smile on my face...If Dundee eventually go out of business then all games played against us become null and void and Partick having got 3 against us would end up at the bottom of the league!!!.....Glencoe ain't going to be too happy either!!

off topic, hi lilli, Efes had his rabies injection ok. Got a bottle of antidote for poison. Enough for 10 doses if you ever need some in a rush. Pertev is off to Germany on 13th (I think) Nov for a holiday. Don't know how long for though, he didn't say.

love on the buses aswell, and most of the carry on films. Good old fashioned down to earth humour. Oh and I used to love Benny Hill. I remember as a small kid in Germany we visited a small cafe on the Rhine. They had Benny Hill on dubbed into german. I still found it hilarious but the locals were all grim faced.

Mike is the 'antidote' Atropine?

If it is, it's not an antidote.

Groucho, it is atropine. I couldn't really care less if it's an antidote or does something else. If it helps with the poisoning then that's the important thing don't you think?

Yes Mike but others reading this might think that once Atropine has been given the dog will recover... whereas they still need to get the dog to the vets and onto a drip ASAP... It's just for info...

my dog didn't need to go on a drip the second time. It depends on the seriousness of the poisoning. If it's only mild then the atropine is fine by itself, if more serious then they will need to go to the vets. I'm not suggesting using it as an alternative to the vets, simply it gives the animal more chance of survival while you get them to the vets.
