I had to do a 2 day return trip to UK this week, it was hard work. But I have to say that it was made so much easier by the superb service of Atlas. I had never used them before, I was given long leg window seats on both outbound and return. Very good food, and soft drinks included. They even filled my own water bottle up for me, (no charge). Cabin Crew were so helpful and polite, (not bad to look at either). Several people on the flight commented on the standard of service. Lady next to me said she always trys to use them. and she reckoned they are hardly ever late. It worked out cheaper than Pegasus. I would not hesitate to use them again. She was right the flight times were virtually to the minute.

I cannot comment on the onboard servuce as I have never used AtlasJet, but the Manchester Saturday flights are ALWAYS nearly an hour late. Maybe the usual discrimination against using airports in Northern UK!

Sorry, Atlas Jet rubbish. Pasta covered with tomato ketchup with no meat! A small can of beer or a very small bottle of wine, 4 Euro! That is from a £ Country to a TL one?! May aswell asked for Roubles or Yen for that matter! No wonder the trolley dollies were laughing all the time taking great pleasure in saying no, no, no! Richard

Agree with msg 2 since the CTA debacle all our friends and family have had to fly Manchester to Ercan with Atlasjet and all have been at least an hour late. As we speak I am waiting for Ken ( Topten) to return and yes you've guessed it he is one hour and 20 mins late. I wouldn't use them by choice Liz

Msg 8 No need for business class as I'm already booked with TA economy including complimentary drinks and food (special needs on request) which was only marginally more than I would have payed CTA for a December flight. Having lost the price of a return ticket with CTA, I have little chance of suing the Government for compensation, but a beer, wine with a meat meal might of eased the financial pain! Richard

I think Atlas do a pretty good job at the price they fly at, Turkish Airlines are far and away the best as they are a "proper" airline, but you pay more.

Msg 11 Depending on the 'jet stream' it is possible the aircraft can make that up in addition to a quick turn around in Turkey. Richard

The reason the Manchester flight is always late into Manchester is it's departure time from Ercan. When we flew this route at the end of July, the flight left Ercan about 5 mins EARLY(!) landed Antalya around 15 minutes early... That's when it all changed. Between 10am and 1pm in Antalya especially on Saturdays is peak time, as it's the time that all the holiday flights land from places like Germany, Russia, Scandinavia and the Netherlands. (There are lots of them!) And so the touch down, timetabled at 45 mins usually takes between 1hour 15mins and 2hours. Then it lands in Manchester around 1 hour late, by which time, the original 1.5hours turnaround has almost finished. And again at around 2-3pm all of the aircraft that have left Manchester in the morning are back and handling takes longer again! The Stansted flight is much better timed and the Manchester would be better with a 6-8am flight from Ercan (like Pegasus Manchester) or at about 6-7pm ex ECN and 10/11pm ex Manchester

Msg 14 It really depends on prevailing winds and whether the pilot is allowed to 'put his foot down' subsequently using more fuel. Richard

Come on Richard; If he picks up the jetstream which in this latitude is unlikely he wouldn't need to "put his foot down" The actual flight schedule UK to Turkey means nowt as there is a built in redundancy. The other direction is always longer due to routing factors.

Msg 17 ' other direction is always longer due to routing factors.' Is that because the the pilots are exchanging bodily fluids with the hostesses?! Richard

Msg 1:"It worked out cheaper than Pegasus." I wish people would also mention the price they are paying for flights etc when they post, or is this a secret, the same as rental properties that are advertised. Just a thought nothing else intended.....!!

Sorry folks, we used Atlas in August, Stansted to Ercan, the service was dire and the cabin crew were worse than useless.

Ebookers - Ercan-LHR-Ercan 3month return with TA £283. How Atlas Jet lost CTA's precious landing rights at Heathrow without being serious in a 'takeover' beggars belief. Be careful with ebookers as their prices are up and down like a yo-yo. Never book am or Mondays as they assume you are a business customer and price accordingly. Richard
