A couple of my work colleauges have just returned from a two week holiday at Ayia Napa in the south.

While they were there, decided to go on one of the THOMSON holidays organised day trips to the north.

The tour guide on the coach strongly advised them not to eat the food in the north of Nicosia, as hygeine standards are not the same as in the south!

The irony to this story is that they also went with the same company on a day trip to Egypt a few days later (all food included) and spent the next couple of days with violent stomach pains and the sh**s
