There's a flaw in the C44 software. Too many times a moderator closes a thread (I don't fight it) and one or two replies find their way to the board AFTER the closure. I think this should NOT be possible. Closed is closed. Izzet, please pay some attention to this.

Hans

It is merely a timing issue I am sure.

if a person is looking at a thread when it gets closed or a few people are looking at the same thread when a mod closes it,and they answer that thread, the post will show even though it has been closed.

As if you are on that thread already reading it,then the reply box is there for you to answer it,even though its been closed while your reading it.

Zerochlor hits the nail right on the head. If you are on a thread with a reply box you can post, even if you sit there composing your reply for half an hour.

what about the one closed after 3 posts - an apology, then ran and ran and I now believe the member is banned for life!

Please correct me if I am wrong!

Izzet needs to get a lot sorted here, if available!

Closed - no reason - off topic

All replies here seem to make some sense, but "closed" should be "closed". Now the threads are half open or half closed. It is not difficult to make the software of C44 reject any reply if the moderator says "closed". That was and is my point.

But is it really a major issue?

The mods can quite easily remove a post that gets through after that thread has been closed.

I think that would be easier than having to write or change the program.

RE msg 8, zerochlor (...) I think that would be easier than having to write or change the program. (...)

=> You may think so but I could possibly comment...

Closed should be closed - however, it is the first place everyone goes to view. See what is / was happening.

Recent closed re TQB, genuine post? 1 person takes offence, again, closed. still no answer to the original persons post from people who are on site.

Zero can the mods delete a post or only the boss? If so, why not delete all closed, derogatory, abusive ones!

Power, but not enough!

im sure mods can close and delete posts, not sure if they can remove a whole thread.

Wrong Scoty

I am here still, (match hasn't kicked off yet)

We can delete posts, sometimes it's not the appropriate thing to do. Deleting whole threads is much more difficult.

As for the point of the thread, I don't think it matters that much and certainly not enough to invest time money and effort re writing the software
