From STN they are very organised, check your hand luggage for size and weight (8kg), and check as you board that you have been truthful about your hand items. From IST however it is the usual free for all with hold-alls etc being dragged down the isle.

8kg and they can get a little fussy about the size of the hand lugage They have a lstand with a frame that the bag must fit into. Then when your on the plane peolple seem to board with all shapes and sizes Go figure!!!!!!!!!

They are quite strict with all luggage. This time however they never even weighed our hand baggage. Have always weighed it in the past though. It is definitely 8 kgs.

We left Stansted 29th September, they didn't weigh or checked size of hand luggage, but tag the bag "Cabin luggage" I think longs you don't take advantage you will be ok.If your combined suitcases are under weight you can send items cargo free most of the time, again longs you are careful.Mrs Laptarunner.

Yinglis We travelled out on 21st Sept and didn't have any problems. The hand luggage could have been although the cases were 4kilos over. I also had a very big handbag. Safe flight

On the subject of Pegasus, flying from Stansted to Ercan via Istanbul do you have to change plane if so is there a waiting time and what happens to the luggage, asking for some friends of ours who thought they were flying with CTA they hadn't heard from travel agent that they had gone bust until we told them on Saturday and their flight had been changed.

Pegasus stansted to ercan you stay on the plane (as does the luggage) the wait at Istanbul is usually 45 mins to an hour from landing to take off.

You and your luggage stay on the plane if you have booked Stansted - Lefkosa. If you did what I did and book 2 separate flights Stansted - SAW and SAW - Lefkosa then you have to get off the plane although you do not have to collect your luggage until Lefkosa

Hi Yvonne! Sometimes, Pegasus will ask you to take items out of cases and put them into hand luggage and vice versa. I have had to transfer stuff out of my hand luggage into my main case because I was over the 8 kg limit. My friend, however, had to take two casserole dishes out of his case and put them into his hand luggage, even though it made his hand luggage overweight! Anyway, hope you have a safe journey! Cannot remember whether I have given you my mobile number, but it is: 05338851659. Give us a ring before you come over to make sure we are in.... or we could bring the towels etc over. Am dying to see the new villa, but you will probably be wanting to wait until your container arrives to be showing it to visitors.

You were lucky if you were only on the tarmac at Istambul for less than an hour we were 90 minutes waiting, then talk about confusion when the SAW passengers got on, nobody could seem find their seats despite having booking passes with seat numbers, as for Stansted hand luggage was not weighed just a label saying cabin luggage, and we were 3 kilos over, but no problems.
