Can anyone advise me the opening times and days of the Insurance and Tax office on the Greek side at Matahan Border Please.

I am travelling across on Saturday and need to know if I can get the appropiate car and Road tax/insurance then or should I make a special trip on a working day?

mike, im sure they are open 6 but possibly 7 days a week.

Tax Office only open 5 days a week and closes at 2.30pm each day. Insurance office open till 8.00pm I beleive. However no insurance without the tax slip of paper.

Hi Dave,

Just found a number for Minerva Insurance at Metehan and they are open 7 day a week. As my car is still on English Plates I do not need the Road Tax, which is only open Monday to Friday so I will be OK to travel on Saturday.

I've turned up there at midnight and still got insurance, the customs /visa people usually ring the insurance bloke to come over and sort you out

The tax office is open to 5 pm on a Wednesday only 2.30pm every other week day
