hehe Lilli, I don't like too much ginger in my curries. (I do good curries aswell by the way) I meant to drop off that stew but you know how it is, someone turns up to measure up for a fence, then mates turn up that you haven't seen for a year ;-) Might bring them down one night, will let you know. They like their steaks to be like a hot knife thru butter, which I know it will be like ;-) Give me a bell tomorrow to remind me to bring down your stew xxxxxxxxx

"Turmeric has long been used as a natural way to treat a host of ailments. Mahtab Jafari’s study is the first to show how its active ingredient impacts age-associated genes and increases longevity in fruit flies." With very few exceptions the members of this board are not fruit flies....

It is said that curry meals have replaced the traditional Sunday favourite of Roast Beef. During the approx 1960s Indian and Chinese restaurants seemed to be the only ones open after 11pm when the pubs closed so perhaps that it has it has now evolved to curry being "in the genes". Those of us whose love of curry stemmed from this time should take precautions as when much older, 8 pints of lager followed by a vindaloo (and for some a punchup outside afterwards) inevitably will lead to curry being in your jeans as well as your genes, and on the end of a pasting if you partake of the fighting also

In the mid 90's the Indian food busines in the UK, emlpoyed more people than Mining, Shipbuilding, and Steelworks put together. (I think the Iron Lady probably helped those statistics a wee bit)
