Looking for a recommendation for a good restaurant (prefer kebabs) that is near Salamis/Famagusta as we will be going there this Saturday and plan on having lunch over there. Directions would be well appreciated as well since we are fairly new here and only know our way around Kyrenia. Thanks, Matt

If you head into Famagusta from Salamis, there is a great Kebab restaurant next to Jonny Rottens on the left. Its near the University on the main road. There are a couple of Addidas shops and a Nike shop near by. Its always full of locals, but as its on the main road it can be a pain to park. Enjoy your day out. Its fantastic over there.

Hi There is an excellent and very well known fish restaurant right on the harbour which is always very busy and rightly so. Its reputation is huge with locals Turkish Cyps and even many Greek Cyps come over especially to use it. Unfortunately I can't remember the name (!!) but its on one end of a line of about 4 restaurants overlooking the tiny fishing harbour (on the Salamis end) and its got a huge cabinet of fresh fish outside, bamboo and rattan conservatory-style seating outside and wooden benches inside and out, lots of fishing decor and nets hanging from the ceiling, and I think 'Yeni' is in the name !!! Its not too expensive and if you like fish, you simply MUST try it !!! Hope you have a nice day out. Try to get a guide at Salamis if you can as it really adds to the experience Regards Susie

Hi I can recomend a resturant call TEMEL REIS. Good food, good hygiene, and very reasonable. It's near the roundabout, opposite the Mosque with the twin minarets. Hope you enjoy it Musti
